Privacy Policy
Fence Sketch ("the App") is operated by Lapp's Online Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"). This page describes what data the App collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. The App is provided as a private, internal tool to a single business customer; it is not a consumer product.
1. What we collect
- Account information — your email address and an encrypted password hash, used to sign in.
- Sketch project data — fence-line coordinates (latitude / longitude), placed annotations (gates, buildings), property addresses you search for, project names, and any project notes you create inside the App.
- Basic technical data — server-side request logs (timestamp, request path, status code) used for debugging and security monitoring. These logs are retained for a short rolling window.
The fence-line and property coordinates (latitude / longitude) you place and save inside the App are precise location data, collected and stored as described above under "Sketch project data." Apart from that data you create, we do not collect device GPS location, background or continuous location tracking, device identifiers for advertising, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or analytics about how you use the App.
2. How we use it
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To store and retrieve the sketch projects you create so they are available across your devices.
- To resolve property addresses to map locations through Google Maps Platform.
We do not sell or rent any data, and we do not show advertising in the App.
3. Third-party services
The App relies on the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy terms.
- Google Maps Platform (Maps SDK for Android, Places API, Geocoding API) — receives the property address strings and map-tile requests needed to render satellite imagery and resolve addresses. See Google's privacy policy.
- Railway — hosts the App's backend server and PostgreSQL database where your sketch data is stored. See Railway's privacy policy.
- Netlify — hosts the App's web client. Standard CDN access logs only; no user data is stored on Netlify. See Netlify's privacy policy.
4. Data retention & deletion
Account and project data are retained for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated sketch projects, contact us at the email below; an administrator can also remove your account from inside the App. Server logs roll off automatically.
5. Security
Connections between the App and our backend use HTTPS. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes; we do not store plaintext passwords.
6. Children
The App is intended for use by employees of our business customer and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
